Animated Video: How SINA Works (and How It Built 120 Social Enterprises Without Managers)

Three weeks ago, at the Corporate Rebels Summit 2025, we put SINA on stage. We did it because their story is one of the most inspiring we have come across anywhere in the world.

If you ever wanted proof of what can happen when hierarchy disappears and purpose becomes the organizing force, SINA is that proof.

As Etienne and Tonny shared their journey in front of hundreds of people, I realized once again how powerful there work is.

And it's far from a polished story.

It is raw, challenging, and insanely transformative. And it shows what becomes possible when people are trusted long before they believe they deserve it.

Animated video "How SINA Works"

To highlight their amazing work, we've collaborated with SINA to create a powerful animated video on how they work (similar to the series we created on Haier, Buurtzorg, Ner Group, Viisi, and more).

At the summit, we shared it for the first time.

Today, we are sharing it with the world. Here you go:

In next week's newsletter, I go into detail on one of the most crucial elements of SINA's approach to entrepreneurship: it's radical concept called 'freesponsibility'.

Unpacking 'freesponsibility'

I'll explore the various stages of how they get people to embrace their concept of 'freesponsibility' - freedom paired with responsibility.

From confronting limiting beliefs to taking over real roles in the community and eventually launching their own social ventures, I’ll unpack how SINA guides people through a challenging and life-changing development journey.

But that's for next week.

For now, I have an important ask.

Because when you see what SINA makes possible for young people, it becomes clear how powerful their work is.

It's also why we donate to SINA through the Corporate Rebels Foundation.

As you may know, we donate 10 percent of our company's profits to the Foundation to support projects that fight inhumane workplaces.

SINA does far more: it transforms lives at the root. It gives people who were once excluded the power to design their own futures and positively impact their communities.

Help transform lives

So far, they've created 1,600 meaningful jobs. Let's help them to do more.

At the summit, we donated another €10,000 to SINA. This enables twenty young people to be supported for an entire year as they grow into changemakers and social entrepreneurs.

We are proud to support them. And if you want to support them too, you can.

Every contribution enables disadvantaged youth to be the change they want to see in the world.

Donate here.

And spread the love by sharing the animated video widely.
